Themes:
I was began my working life studying English literature and Political Science and so have a strong interest in social commentary and concepts. My work is figurative, illustrative and primarily concerned with expressing concepts or sory telling. I am fascinated with the challenge of representing a concept as a visual image, choosing the ideal image, medium, colours and composition. My work reflects the experiences in my own family life and the joy of living in Port Fairy. I have an appreciation of the irony and “ fun “ of daily life and art provides an outlet for my observations which often strike a chord with others. After all, we are all in the same boat in the same big ocean dealing with the uncertainties of life together.
