The Story of Clara Bow (circa 1920) Jill’s interest in the Art Deco period has shifted
from the classic haute couture designers of the twenties to the silent movie actresses.In this
case Clara Bow, the quintessential flapper is the subject. Clara starred in 58 movies from
1922-1933.Jill has made a study of the many stunningly photographic faces of Clara using drawings
,fabric & metallic overlays.The move from Concept to Resolution tells the story-from just an
idea with snippets of fabric, yarns & beads to composure & resolution in the final composition
. Although designed as a pair, each work stands strongly on its own and can be purchased as
